Miss Wang has definitely played a pivotal role in my learning of Chinese Language. Week after week, I look forward to our discussions on current affairs as this is my favourite part of her lessons. Prior to joining Miss SY Wang’s Online Chinese Tuition lessons, I was exceptionally weak at the Higher Chinese subject, struggling with passing grades for a very long time indeed. Much to my pleasant surprise, after joining Miss Wang’s lessons, I eventually achieved a Merit for Oral as well as an overall A1 grade for the GCE O Level Higher Chinese Examination.
Miss Wang is a Chinese tutor who is highly competent in her teaching. Thanks to Miss Wang, I was introduced to many exam-smart strategies and answering techniques which are easy to apply in a real-time exam setting even under pressure. Her teaching methods boosted my confidence while sitting for the examination, and many of her answering techniques are indeed highly practical. It is more than safe to say that Miss SY Wang was the main driving force behind the successes I had with Chinese Language.
Miss SY Wang is most certainly a highly devoted chinese tutor who is both innovative and practical in her teaching approach.
Prior to joining Miss Wang’s online lessons, the earlier ways of studying often ended up as futile efforts on my side. A series of outdated and conventional ways of studying, as well as mindless drilling certainly did not add value to my learning. However, Miss Wang’s lessons transformed my paradigm as to how Chinese language should be learnt. Miss Wang is in my personal opinion, truly a remarkable Chinese Tutor. She has helped to heightened my interest in learning Chinese Language by making learning an enjoyable experience for all of her students. She equips us with interesting Chinese news articles from Lianhe Zaobao, as well as Chinese videos – all of which helped to spiked my interest of learning beyond traditional pen and paper.
Not only did Miss Wang provided us with abundant learning resources which most certainly helped to enrich our learning experience, her lessons are also highly engaging and interest. Miss SY Wang is an exceedingly experienced and passionate chinese tutor whom commands much respect from me personally.
Prior to joining Miss Wang’s online chinese lessons, my learning progress has largely remained stagnant whilst I struggled for improvements for a long time. I was often stuck in a rut when it comes to effective studying techniques to help boost my Chinese Language scores.
However, after joining Miss Wang’s lessons at Secondary 3 level, she opened my eyes as to how Chinese Language can be learnt effectively. Not only are Miss Wang’s lessons are constantly infused with captivating personal stories, she has also taught us the ropes in mastering the art of answering techniques, as well as the importance of memorizing impactful idioms, all of which helped to transformed my learning mindset positively. Miss SY Wang is a highly experienced and inspiring Chinese Tutor who genuinely cares about her students. She constantly engages us in innovative methods of learning which she deemed as the best approaches to move her students forward in learning, and she never fails to keep up with our weekly learning progress.
Although I had only attended Miss Wang’s lessons at Secondary 4 level, I had benefitted much from Miss Wang’s teaching in a short span of one year. It was clear to me that Miss Wang is distinctly different from my school teachers. She had a strong focus on sharpening our minds to think critically, and the answering techniques she provided us with proved to be much more fruitful than the endless futile drillings we had in school. Her lessons are often interlaced with important content on current affairs, as well as razor sharp examination skills which significantly changed the way I tackled the overall chinese language assessment.
When I first joined Miss Wang’s lesson, my results were rather abysmal with a C+ grade in Term 1 at Secondary 4 level. Chinese language has always been one of my weaker subjects, so my parents signed me up for Chinese tuition classes since young. Even after attending long hours of Chinese tuition classes, my Chinese standard stagnated at one level and I did not like learning Chinese. However, after signing up for Miss Wang’s Chinese lessons at Sec 3 Level, I started to like learning Chinese!
王老师 is a meticulous teacher as she goes through the answering techniques of different components of the Chinese paper in detail. Additionally, she painstakingly ensures all her students are giving their best effort when doing work so that we can learn most efficiently. 王老师 also is a caring teacher. She imparts life lessons to her students by going through stories and current affairs weekly. During some content-heavy lessons, 王老师 also lets her students watch some Chinese videos to rest for a while. This way, we can rest and learn Chinese at the same time!
王老师 does not assign much homework, but I learned how to write and speak in Chinese more fluently! The unique way 王老师 teaches allowed me to appreciate the Chinese language more. Eventually, my Chinese standard gradually improved. Thank you 王老师!

My grades were slipping through my fingers due to my lack of understanding on how to tackle Higher Chinese for too long a period of time. Since primary school, Chinese had always been one of my weakest subjects. I had always never scored very well in this specific subject. When I first started Chinese in secondary school, I faced many problems. I failed tests that chinese teachers gave me, comprehensions and compositions were barely passed, sometimes even failed.
I switched between many chinese tutors for a while. However, when I started to have lessons with Ms Wang, I started to understand the subject a lot better. Initially, I was worried that I would be unable to brush up my skills in time for my O levels. After attending Miss Wang’s lessons, it is prevalent that Miss Wang is an experienced tutor who is in touched with the syllabus. Miss Wang spotted my weakness and helped me patch up the gaps I had by giving me exercises and relevant reading materials. In particular, much to my distress, I had scored poorly for the Oral component for the end of year examinations at Secondary 3 Level. The lessons in school did little to help as I personally felt that these were too disorganized, which inadvertently contributed to the haphazardness in my learning.
Upon recommendation by a former student of Miss Wang, I started joining Miss Wang’s lesson at the beginning of Year 2020. True enough, Miss Wang’s utmost patience and impeccably organized way of learning improved my oratorical skills unlike ever before. Being well equipped with the various learning strategies imparted by Miss Wang, for the first time, my proficiency level in the subject was well elevated. Since then, I had been able to tackle the various tests and examinations with much more confidence and ease. For my entire time in Primary School, I had only done normal chinese rather than higher chinese. As such, when I joined my secondary and was asked to study Higher Chinese, I was often at my wit’s end, often struggling to even secure a passing C grade at Secondary School level.

With her wealth of teaching experience, Miss Wang equips all of her students well with useful examinations skills to tackle all aspects of the GCE O Level Examinations, including essay writing, comprehension as well as oral preparation. Since primary school, chinese essay writing was always an uphill task for me. Prior to joining Miss SY Wang’s online chinese tuition lessons, I was often offered generic advice on how to tackle chinese language effectively. Most of these suggestions such as “do more practices and read more books” only added to my workload but did not help to improve my grades, which were often hovering and stagnating at the range of B3 and 4s.
After joining Miss SY Wang’s lessons, I finally found a teacher who shed light on the essence of good essay writing. As such, my essay grades improved from the B grades to scoring distinction grades consistently. All these are only achievable because of Miss Wang’s teaching. Miss Wang sets a good example to students by being a diligent teacher herself. Week after week, she will provide us with useful learning materials such as videos and news articles on current affairs. On top of her conscientiousness, Miss Wang never fails to emphasize the important of depth of learning. Instead of going down the route of “quantity over quality”, Miss Wang clearly values “quality over quantity”. As such, instead of piling us with practices and more practices which only led to touch and go learning experiences, Miss Wang focuses on our clarity of thought and depth of understanding. Indeed, every piece of assignment is evaluated with much precision and she is always able to convey the learning points succinctly. As such, Miss Wang’s learning advice are often entrenched in my mind for many months to come.

When I first joined Miss Wang’s online chinese lessons at the start of my Secondary 4 journey, my results were often lying low in the B4 range, and I was uncertain as to how much improvement I will see in time to come. As such, when I received my results at the end of Term 2, much to my pleasant surprise, I had actually done much better than before.
Miss Wang is one of the rare breed of chinese teachers who is exceptionally bilingual. Whenever we encounter a Chinese character that is too complicated for our understanding, she is always able to provide an immediate English translation to help us achieve instant understanding. Miss Wang’s expertise in the entire GCE O Level Chinese Language Curriculum shines through thoroughly in all of her lesson delivery. Her examination smart techniques and treasure trove of learning materials aided us in our learning of the subject holistically. Beyond the technical expertise, Miss Wang is also a highly committed teacher who strives to conduct lessons in a fun and enjoyable way, so as to help us stay attentive in a Friday’s evening class. With her unwavering support and guidance, I was able to revise efficiently for both the school assessments as well as the national examination.
Within a short time frame of less than a year, I was extremely delighted to learn that in my school’s preliminary Examination, I had actually scored a high distinction grade for the oral component. Next, I achieved a Distinction grade in my GCE O Level Chinese Oral Examination as well as an overall A2 grade for the entire GCE O Level Chinese Language Examination. As Miss Wang did not specialize in the A level Chinese subject, as such, I could not continue to learn from her after the GCE O Levels. However, her 好词好句 taught to me for the O Levels continued to be useful and helped me to obtain an A grade for the A Level Chinese Examination, as well as a Distinction grade in Oral, yet again!

Miss Wang’s lessons made a profound impact in my learning of Chinese Language.
As a student who had come from Korea and had lacked a proper foundation in Chinese Language, Chinese characters appeared to be largely unintuitive to me. Needless to say, prior to attending Miss SY Wang’s lessons, I was low in self esteem when speaking mandarin, and had limited experiences and skills in tackling the chinese language tests at secondary school level locally.

Miss Wang is immaculately systematic in her teaching approach. As such, her lessons are always easy to follow even if they are conducted online. I first joined Miss SY Wang’s online group lessons in the middle of Secondary 4 after having failed my school’s WA1 and Mid-Year Higher Chinese Examination.
Despite the many practices that my school had given me, I could not understand the proper techniques and requirements of the different questions, and hence continued to fare poorly. Even though I only attended Miss Wang’s lessons for 5 months prior to the O levels, Miss Wang’s lessons gave me a lot of clarity on how to tackle and answer different question types and essay genres. Prior to joining Miss Wang’s lessons, I had joined other tuition lessons which clearly felt as dull as ditchwater. It all started when I was a rather unmotivated in learning the language at Secondary 1 level, and to top it off, I was also far from being hardworking. However, instead of losing hope and giving up on me, Miss Wang continued to encourage and motivate me for as long as it takes in spite of my numerous shortfalls in the subject.
Instead of just plainly going through the books and papers, Miss Wang consistently imbued the values of learning in me. I started attending Miss SY Wang’s Online Chinese Lessons at the start of 2020 which was also my Secondary 4 Year. For the past 3 years, my Higher Chinese results were mediocre at best, with me even failing my Secondary 3 Common Test Paper 2 as I was not sure of how to prepare for and study Higher Chinese effectively.
As a result, I lost interest in Chinese language and was not motivated to do well due to a lack of guidance. In my lower Secondary school years, I did not take up any Chinese tuition classes. Miss Wang was not accepting any lower secondary students then and I was on her wait list. Clearly, Miss Wang’s approach in teaching was highly effective and efficient – the answering structures were often so entrenched in my mind, so much so that I was able to write and speak more cohesively and coherently in chinese language with greater ease than before.
Miss Wang also often provided us with valuable feedback in our assignments with much encouragement. These helped to spur me on in my learning of chinese language which I am truly thankful for.
At the end of the year of attending lessons with Miss Wang, I managed to achieve a Distinction Grade in the GCE O Level Higher Chinese Examinations.
All in all, I truly found Miss Wang’s lessons highly enjoyable and beneficial, and I do believe that many more students will also see good improvement under Miss Wang’s guidance!

When I first joined 王老师’s lesson at Secondary 3 level, my foundation in chinese language was lacking. However, 王老师 clearly had the expertise to move me up the ladder.
At first, it seemed to me that 王老师 set really high standards for me to achieve and chinese language continued to seem tough to learn. However, over time, I saw for my own eyes that it is true that if there is a will, there will be a way. 王老师 provided me with a vast array of valuable learning resources and guided me in all that is necessary to conquer the examinations. Under the guidance of 王老师, I started to take learning chinese in my own stride.
Eventually, I achieved an A1 for my GCE O level Chinese Language Examination, as well as an A2 for my GCE O level Higher Chinese Examination. Much to my pleasant surprise, I also scored Distinction grades for both Oral Exams at the national level.
I am deeply appreciative of 王老师’s remarkable efforts in spurring me on to do my best in Chinese Language. Thank you 王老师!

After having attended Miss SY Wang’s Higher Chinese lessons, I have seen for myself how I have improved tremendously in the subject.
Miss Wang is a Chinese Teacher who is deeply passionate in imparting her knowledge to her students. She has an exceptional understanding of what the entire examination syllabus entails, and she also has a great mastery of chinese language, leading me to be inspired with her teachings.
Lessons were often well organized, and Miss Wang often seek to strengthen engagements in lessons through interesting and meaningful ways. She frequently cited impressionable examples to help foster understanding, and over time I saw good improvements in both my oratorical and writing skills.
For the GCE Higher Chinese O Level Examination, I achieved a Distinction Grade in Oral as well as an overall Distinction Grade.
Not only has Miss Wang helped me to improve in Chinese Language, she also helped me to develop my character, all of which I am sincerely grateful for. Thank you Miss Wang!
